Luyckx
Together with Luyckx, CMB.TECH developed the first H2 dual fuel heavy construction excavator. Luyckx is a Belgian family business, specialised in the distribution of high quality heavy machines for construction, lifting & agricultural applications.
Combined with the H2 dual fuel technology of CMB.TECH and the years of experience that Luyckx has on these heavy machines, a joint development has been performed to modify the 37 ton Hitachi excavator to run on H2 dual fuel. Other applications are being addressed as well.
This cooperation results in the first heavy construction excavator that is able to reduce CO2 levels up to 50%, without having to risk downtime or delays based on the supply of hydrogen. Due the high energy consumption and high autonomy, there is currently no feasible alternative for these heavy excavators to reduce their CO2 emissions.

With this machine, companies within the sector can embark on energy transition with today's machines without being permanently dependent on the availability of hydrogen.
