Fleet Performance Analyst

To strengthen our Operations team, we are currently looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Fleet Performance Analyst.
What are we looking for?
As a Fleet Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Fleet Performance team in monitoring the performance of the CMB.TECH vessels and ensuring the most efficient operation of the fleet. Your primary aim will be to follow up on the consumption of the vessels and provide insights to optimise vessel performance.
Operational Decision Support
Support the Operations Department with daily decision-making to minimise consumption and emissions, and maximize the voyage financial results;
Provide relevant insights to the onboard crews to support in voyage planning and optimisation of operational efficiency.
Vessel Modelling and Performance Analysis
Create, maintain and improve vessel resistance/power/consumption models using industry standards and innovative methods;
Deliver vessel and fleet performance analyses and recommendations using our in-house vessel performance systems as well as optimised 3rd party solutions;
Your reports will be based on voyage data analysis and how that matches against performance criteria. You will look into areas such as fuel consumption, speed performance, propulsion efficiency and hull degradation.
Stakeholder Engagement and Fleet Management
Prepare periodical meetings with stakeholders to arrange and follow up maintenance actions such as hull inspections and hull cleanings;
Supply stakeholders with accurate and up-to-date consumption tables of the CMB.TECH fleet;
Review voyage results and provide clarifications for deviations between planned and actual voyage consumptions;
Contribute to innovation projects focused on optimising the daily operation of the CMB.TECH vessels;
Work closely together with the members of the Fleet Performance Team to identify potential for optimisation, define projects and execute accordingly;
Contribute to company-wide projects regarding energy efficiency, emission reduction and innovation;
Contribute to the daily tasks forming the department’s services.
What do you bring?
Formal Education: you hold a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science or similar;
Languages: you are proficient in English, preferably Dutch;
Strong analytical skills;
Commercial mindset;
Data literate with programming skills in Python, MatLab, R, SQL or similar;
Proficient in both written and spoken English with knowledge of vessel specific terminology;
Has an international mindset and shows the enthusiasm for engaging and deal with multiple stakeholders in challenging situations;
A ‘self-starter’ attitude and a confident and effective communicator.
