Mechanical Engineer

To strengthen our team Industry, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer.
What are we looking for?
- You own the mechanical development of one or more development projects. Responsibility includes all mechanical design of the product, including compliance to legal requirements, collaboration with suppliers, …;
- You strive to obtain an expert level technical understanding of your product;
- You take care of the technical investigation of field problems and provide a technical solution. You ensure that learnings are included in the next product generation;
- You ensure to follow all steps of the gateway process;
- You make all necessary technical documentation, such as technical drawings, assembly drawings, instructions, ...;
- You coordinate with team members and utilize own engineering skills and tools to meet product requirements, program delivery and business objectives;
- You coordinate activities with the required stakeholders;
- You ensure adherence to all Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental policies that affect the relevant work areas;
- You represent CMB.TECH in a professional manner in all interactions;
- You work on other projects and tasks as and when required.
What do you bring?
- Formal education: a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field of study or an equivalent by experience;
- Languages: proficient in Dutch and English (both spoken and written);
- Minimum of 5 years relevant engineering/industrial experience;
- Proven experience in the design of high volume products is a must;
- Strong technical knowledge and design skills, with proven ability to deliver against time, cost and quality targets;
- Understanding of product development for industrial/heavy duty applications;
- Strong verbal communication skills;
- Experience in any of the following is preferred and highly valued:
- Industrial Machinery product development
- Low volume automotive product development
- Hydrogen applications
- Ability to travel occasionally;
- Familiar with 3D design packages (eg CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, …) and PLM systems (eg 3DXperience, Vault, …);
- An eye for detail in technical content;
- Must be self-motivated with excellent follow through.
