Senior Accountant

To strengthen the Accounting team, we are looking for an all-round Senior Accountant. You will report to the Accounting Manager.

What are we looking for?

• Support with the monthly closing of several entities within the CMB Group. You will do the AR, the AP and the GL;

• Processing incoming invoices/credit notes and bank transactions. Handling all payments from A to Z;

• Preparing the annual accounts, making balance sheet reconciliations and you are jointly responsible for VAT and other returns. Reconciling VAT accounts with VAT returns;

• Support with audits of P&L and balance sheet, statutory figures and VAT;

• Ad hoc reporting assignments and general administrative support, as well as preparation of internal audit;

• Making proposals on optimisation of accounting processes;

• Keeping oneself continuously informed of developments within Accounting.

What do you bring?

• Formal education: You have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy;

• Work experience in Accounting is required;

• Languages: You are proficient in Dutch and English (both spoken and written);

• You are extremely discrete;

• You are fluent in accounting software and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and more specifically Excel;

• You are a team player, can work independently and enjoy taking responsibility and initiative;

• Structured, punctual and stress-resistant;

• You are good at setting priorities;

• Experience with Oracle Netsuite is a plus.
