To strengthen our IT team, we are currently looking for a skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer to lead and oversee the setup and management of cloud infrastructure.
What are we looking for?
Cloud Infrastructure Setup and Management: Design, implement and manage cloud infrastructure solutions, including cloud servers, networking, firewalls, and databases.
Azure Specialisation: Leverage expertise in Azure to optimise cloud infrastructure and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Multi-Cloud Knowledge: Apply knowledge of other cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud) to create a flexible and scalable cloud environment.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC tools and practices to automate and streamline the deployment and management of cloud resources.
Cloud Cost Management: Monitor and manage cloud costs to ensure efficient use of resources and optimise spending.
Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices and adhering to industry standards.
Performance Optimisation: Monitor and optimise the performance of cloud infrastructure to meet business needs and improve efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and development, to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business objectives.
Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure and provide training and support to team members.
What do you bring?
Required Skills:
Formal education: you hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus;
You have at least 7 years of proven experience as aSenior IT Systems Engineer, specifically in cloud infrastructure setup and management;
Languages: English is a must have – Dutch preferable;
Strong understanding of cloud servers, networking, firewalls, and databases;
Expertise in Azure and knowledge of at least one other cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud);
Knowledge and experience in the application of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices;
Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimisation;
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively;
Experience with cloud security and compliance best practices.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Azure;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams;
A proactive, solution-oriented mentality.
