Cleanergy Solutions Namibia
Cleanergy Solutions Namibia is a joint venture between CMB.TECH and the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group. Since 2021, O&L and CMB.TECH have been working together to leverage their unique expertise. O&L, a solar pioneer, brings its extensive knowledge and regional presence, while CMB.TECH contributes with its advanced hydrogen expertise and hydrogen powered applications.
Cleanergy Solutions Namibia project
Cleanergy Solutions Namibia is currently working on the construction of Africa's first public green hydrogen refuelling station, together with the hydrogen production plant, established in Walvis Bay, Namibia. This innovative facility uses solar energy for hydrogen production onsite and will supply hydrogen to trucks, port equipment and railway applications. As an integral part of this project, a Hydrogen Academy will be established to educate and train local individuals on hydrogen technology and its wide-ranging applications.
Next step for this Cleanergy Solutions Namibia project will be the production of green ammonia. The aim is to make Walvis Bay a clean fuel hotspot in Sub-Saharan Africa.
